Parent Action Association (PAA)

Recent PAA minutes please click HERE.

Next meeting will be held on May 14, 2013, we welcome your attendance.

PAA Mission

The Parent Action Association (PAA) is an active group of parents who support St. Odilia School. The PAA has three main goals:

  • Keep tuition reasonable through fundraising (mainly through the Marathon for Non-Public Education)
  • Provide volunteer support for school programs
  • Build community by supporting teachers, providing hospitality, and responding to parent needs

All parents of St. Odilia students are members of this association, have an equal voice in PAA business, and are invited to attend monthly PAA meetings.

The PAA is explained more thoroughly in our school handbook.

PAA Meetings

The PAA holds monthly meetings the second Tuesday of every month during the school year excluding the month of December.  All meetings are at 7pm and are held in room 2308.  Meetings generally last one hour.  All parents are encouraged and invited to attend.

Fundraising Programs

Thank you to all parents and St. Odilia supporters that support St. Odilia school through the Target Take Charge of Education Program. St. Odilia has been recognized by Target as one of the top schools in Minnesota for receiving dollars from the program. When a Target-Visa account holder designates St. Odilia as their school of choice, we receive one percent of every dollar that is charged at Target.  Please help us make the most of this program.  For further information go to www.target.com/tcoe

Here are some easy ways to help St. Odilia School get cash to use for school supplies, equipment and more!

Please note the Kemps Milk Cap Program is being discontinued. We are replacing it with a new program by Tyson – check out the details below!

Box Tops:
Cut out the box top on eligible products found on the Box Tops 4 Education website. You can either use the collection sheet found on the school’s website as a family fun activity or simply place them in the container in the school lobby marked for Box Tops. We’ll take care of the rest – it’s as easy as that!

To earn more box tops, register online and select St. Odilia as your school, shop on the box tops website featuring over 170 retailers and earn e-box tops for the school! Last year we raised $2,000 and this year we have a larger goal to meet! Each Box Top is worth 10 cents!

Labels For Education:
Time to make those infamous hot dishes and soups that our families love so much! Be sure to clip the label from the can marked Labels for Education. Place them on the collection sheets found on the school website or in the container in the school lobby marked Labels for Education and we’ll take it from there. Check out the labels for Education Website for participating products, you’ll be amazed at the list!

Save Five For Schools:
Got Milk? If you drink Land O’ Lakes Milk or use their products, save the Save Five labels and place them in the container near the front lobby of school. See the website for more details. Each label is worth 5 cents for our school!

Tyson’s Project A+ program:
Who doesn’t feed their kids an occasional chicken nugget for a quick dinner now and again? Look for participating Tyson brand products with the Tyson Project A+ Support Your School label and this out from the box/bag. Place it in the container in the front lobby at school and we’ll do the counting, etc. These are worth 24 cents per label and this is a new program we are implementing this year.

If you have any questions on the programs mentioned above, please contact Bridget Henrich at bhenrich@unitedsugars.com.
